A recent poster to this website published an in depth treatise on the difference between Yahweh and Yowie.

While this may have been new or relevant information to many readers of this site, there is one reader who I think we can be reasonably certain was very much aware:

The Yowie.

Before any of you object. Yes, the Yowie most certainly reads these posts. Anyone who claims otherwise is frankly living in with their head in the sand and needs to grow up.

The Yowie, I will here contend, is also a practitioner of we these days usually refer to as the gnostic arts.

Gnosticism, in its most famous form, is an oft derided branch of early Christianity, which reached its zenith during the second century AD in the levant and broader Mediterranean. It is characterised by a rejection of church orthodoxy, a disdain for the material world, a love of asceticism, a strongly held conceptualisation of the Christs’ passion as purely symbolic, and a desire for turning inward to discover divine knowledge – gnosis.

I emplore you to take a moment now. Close your eyes (I suggest you do this segment at the end so as to be able to read the rest of the essay), centre your attention at the crown of your head and ask yourself these questions:

Who has never once been recorded on clear, non-grainy footage-

-following church doctrine and adhering to orthodoxy?

-revelling in the mundane existance of the physical world?

-Coveting riches and hoarding wealth?

-Proclaiming Christ’s passion to be a literal resurrection of the human body?

It is the Yowie. He who walks the wild forests of this earth seeking fame nor fortune. Seeking the truth that lies within us all, gnosis. It is he who understands that the gnostic arts encompass a much larger religious pallet than just that of early Christianity.

He, like many gnostics, believe Yahweh to be an illusion, the Demiurge. A lesser creation of the true creative force behind the veil that we live and breath in every day of our lives.
