About Us

“It is the long history of humankind (and Yowie-kind, too) that those who learned to collaborate and improvise most effectively have prevailed…YowieHub is NOT satire”

Charles Darwin
The sun was setting,
the Yowie turned back, smiling.
I knew, in that moment.
To wander,
To think,
To learn.
He faded away.
Like a mist through the distance.
Into the brown bush.

On a bushwalk through the Namadgi National Park in 1997, Boof and Honky encountered a hairy 10ft tall creature. At first they had thought it had just been a local from nearby tuggeranong. Later, they learned they had been blessed. It was a rare sighting of a mystical being known as a Yowie.

Determined to learn more about Yowies, the two attempted to find resources that could shed light on their lives and society. They would unfortunately go on to discover that the field of Yowie research was plagued with fake science and prescriptive theory. Some other ‘researchers’ had gone so far as to crowdsource word-of-mouth ‘sightings’ into an interactive map with no respect for academic process or peer review. Yowie research at that point was based on an imposition of ideology. Boof and Honky immediately realised that there was a need to push back against this insincerity and instead earnestly learn from the ancient wisdom of Yowie society.

YowieHub was founded on the belief that the Yowie is fundamentally incompatible with human lenses of understanding. Through developing a greater understanding of Yowies, we can apply lessons to our own way of thought.

To found YowieHub, Boof and Honky gathered a passionate team of Yowie researchers from across the globe. The site has since been described by a credible source as the ‘most trustworthy and comprehensive website for Yowie research.’

At YowieHub, we use an iterative and science-based approach to conducting Yowie research. Through firmly established processes and rigorous review, we are committed to the mission of delivering thought-provoking and serious literature.

I am a digital liquidity specialist with audit skills.

I arrived in London, on Good Friday 1997, I was interviewed by the BBC about an IRA bomb scare at my office. I used my interview to call for peace. A year later the Good Friday Agreement was signed. In 2010, whilst working for Citibank in Ireland, I created the original concept for the Obama Administration’s SupplierPay Pledge policy. I have permission from a senior member of the US National Security Council staff to be allowed to say that I “responded to the President’s call for help” to rescue the US economy.

After returning to Australia I discovered that tens of thousands of undocumented horticulture workers from Asia had been trafficked into Northern Victoria and exploited as a slave-like labour force.
